Although I am seeing the prices start to come down in San Diego, it's not in the psyche of the typical San Diagan yet. And although 800K to 500K is quite a drop, it's not the norm. Yet.
Prices have gone down significantly in newer home areas such as San Marcos, Chula Vista etc.
Buyer are unwilling to buy homes with high taxes, hoa's and mello-roos, that is the advatage the older area homes have in Carlsbad, Rancho Bernardo, etc and why the older areas can afford not to yield so quickly....but they will eventually!
